Offshore : Artists of Scotland Island &
Pittwater’s Western Foreshore

The Pittwater region of Sydney
continues to attract and inspire artists,
drawn by its natural beauty, relative
isolation and creative community. This
exhibition reflects the strengths of their
collective consciousness as well as the
diversity of media and techniques, and
ideas and themes in their individual

On the Beach: Gems from the
MAG&M Swimwear Collection

An exhibition exploring Manly’s
unique collection of swimwear and
beach wear. From the woollen ‘Neck
to Knees’ of the Edwardian era, to
the skimpy ‘itsy bitsy’ bikini, Manly’s
collection documents the evolving
styles of swimwear and our changing
relationship with the beach. Curated by
Sarah Johnson with Lorraine Foster.

Frameworks : Eramboo

Manly Council’s Frameworks outdoor
gallery features the work of seven artists
from the Eramboo Artist Environment,
Terrey Hills. Eramboo is a non-profit
organisation, existing as a site of arts
and education for over fifty years and
with a focus is on contemporary arts
and crafts, including painting, sculpture,
photography, film making, design,
sound, music and digital media.

Seaforth Artshow and Sale

of the mammalian class. Human Beings
express themselves with hairstyles.
Manly has a high density of hair salons.
It’s the wo’manly defining our hairy
landscape. This small exhibition explores
artists’ fascinations with hair in the
setting of an exquisite hair salon.

Installation Court

DVD installation by local school
children who explore connections
with their local beaches: rocks, sea
and sand. Inside a transformed squash
court a local ‘beach’ will be recreated
with rubbish found in the oceans by
Ecodivers and objects by Two Hands
Project (a collaborative approach to
cleaning up the world).
