Zine Workshop with Vanessa Berry
Zines are handmade, personal, small print-run publications which usually involve a photocopier and some creativity. Among the wide variety of Zines there are: autobiographical, personal zines; fanzines, based on particular obsessions of the creator; and Zines made up of drawings or comics. Join Vanessa Berry, zinemaker and creative writing teacher, in this hands-on workshop to explore your independent publishing side!

Mini Zine Fair at Manly Library
Running alongside Vanessa Berry’s Zine Workshop will be Manly Library’s inaugural Zine Fair. Zine distributers (Distros) will have stalls offering their wares for perusal and purchase. Drop by and you’ll discover a wide variety of Zines from the personal to the political, the comic to the artistic.

Saturday Story time
Local picture book creators, Kate Forsyth, Aleesah Darlison, Serena Geddes and Poona Bowden will read their latest works to children in Manly Library. This is a lively, interactive session and includes fun craft activities. Children can wear fancy dress and must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for ages 3 - 6.
