Yarns from the Wallendbeen Hotel

Returning from the success of last
year, come along to enjoy yarns from
the Wallendbeen Hotel. Karen Smith’s
colourful childhood as a publican’s
daughter provides the yarns, the pub
jukebox provides the songs. A time
capsule of country NSW in the
1960s - 70s. Supported by Nick Basford

Culture Now

Gallery Tjukurrpa, Manly’s
contemporary Aboriginal Art Gallery
will be presenting Culture Now, a
performance of song, dance and
didjeridoo playing, spread across both
weekends of the Manly Arts Festival.
Come along and view some great
indigenous artwork, and catch one
of the performances.

Manly Warringah Pipe Band Contest &
Highland Gathering

This will be the 6th Annual Manly-
Warringah Pipe Band Contest and
Highland Gathering and once again we
are pleased to hold this event at Manly
Oval. The event will include a solo
piping and drumming contest, a pipe
band contest with bands from across
NSW and ACT, a highland dancing
contest, as well as food stalls, face
painting and roving entertainment.

Sydney Vocal Arts Centre showcases
its most talented performers in a
concert featuring four different choirs,

highly talented children’s choir ‘Out of

Sparkles on the Water : Thoroughbass

Jogging perambulators, portly waders
and sparkles on the sea - Manly in the
morning. Thoroughbass and the Manly
Arts Festival presents a concert celebrating
the light, colour and life of Manly. In
joyous music by Bach and Vivaldi played
on two sparkly harpsichords with two
lively recorders. Monika Kornel and Diana
Weston (harpsichords), Alana Blackburn
and Joanne Arnott (recorders).

An Afternoon of Musical Delights

Soprano Sarah Clark, and Baritone
William Moxey will present an
afternoon infused with drama, beauty
and fun. They will perform Opera,
Art Song, and Musical Theatre duets
and solos by Dvorak, Massenet,
Rossini, Mozart, and more. Piano
accompaniment by Ingrid Sakurovs
and violin solo Bernadette Coffey.
Proceeds will go to Bear Cottage,
the Children’s Hospice at Manly.
