Northern Beaches artists open their private studios, art spaces and galleries to the public on this special weekend where the public is invited ‘behind the scenes’. Check the Festival website for details and a map of the studios and spaces involved.

The Shed Sculpture Studio: Christine Simpson
This working sculpture space, set in the bush on the Ingleside escarpment, is where people come to work on their own projects or to develop skills from life study across a variety of media including clay, wax, plasticene, plaster and cement for modelling, limestone, soapstone and sandstone for carving. Different casting techniques are also learnt and employed. The Shed holds its annual exhibition each November.

Substantial stone and mixed media landscape sculptures by Dennis Kalous and functional stone designs by Damian Cadmore in a rural paddock. Sitting like an artisan hamlet from another time this open-air studio is complemented by large metal figures by Brian McCallum.
