2010 celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Manly Art Gallery & Museum. This special exhibition highlights some of the fascinating stories that have contributed to the life of the Gallery over 80 years; its diverse collection and Gallery founders, together with new contemporary works by artists of the region. |

Character of the Portrait with Evert Ploeg
Portrait Artist Evert Ploeg, twice winner of the Archibald People’s Choice Award, conducts 3 workshops, where he instructs, mentors and allows you to explore the ‘Character of the Portrait’ in the ambience of the Gallery, using dry media on various papers, all skill levels welcome.

Sunnyfield Film + Art Festival
Join Sunnyfield’s creative team from the Day Option Program in celebrating their abilities in communicating through the digital film process in an Aboriginal art documentary, digital storytelling and a live performance. Artworks and photo montage exhibited in the cinema foyer. |

[Treading Lightly] Art at Little Manly Point
Inspired by a number of transient concepts and a dream fuelled by passion for nature and our landscape [Treading Lightly] creates an ephemeral, inclusive public art sculpture at Little Manly Point. Led by renowned local artists, come and help create this sculpture. Using a selection of natural found materials and fibres, the project will emerge from the landscape.

Walking in Country - Multi-media Performance
Join Karen Smith, a Darug woman from the Boorooberongal clan of Western Sydney, for a walk in country, an intimate and enlightening mutli-media performance, combining stories, songs and images. Accompanied by percussion and guitar, Karen shares the stories of her aboriginal ancestors, Maria Lock, Yarramundie, Gomebeeree, Colebee and the Darug Clans.
