Manly Library Youth Photography Competition

This competition is open to all aged 12
to 20 with an interest in photography.
The locally inspired theme ‘Bush to
Beach’ asks entrants to get creative
with their cameras around the local
area and win some great prizes.
Any photograph taken during 2011
may be submitted.

24/7 Youth Film Festival

A film making competition for Northern
Beaches young people 12 - 25yrs,
working in teams to produce a 7 minute
film in 24 hrs. The festival comprises 4
free film-making workshops, the 24hr
competition and screenings of the films
culminating in a finals/awards night.

Story Games

Children will create characters,
become characters in their own
stories, design a story setting and
participate in writing exercises
they share with the group. This
workshop focuses on developing
ideas, teamwork and having fun
with words and stories. Participants

Creating Worlds of Wonder
& Characters to Inspire

Children’s book creators Sue Whiting,
Aleesah Darlison and Serena Geddes
lead children through fun exercises to
create and illustrate sensational settings
and unforgettable characters. Map out new worlds, develop heroes, villains and fantasy creatures
then draw them! This workshop develops
creativity and idea sharing. Includes afternoon tea.
